Just another Friday night .....

Hello SCARS fans !
I'm currently in the middle of another Saint Louis winter .... which sucks. It's below 0 outside and my nose won't stop dripping. I never get out and do anything when it's like this .....

But I do get a lot of work done! Jim Wayer and I did like 3 photo sets this week ... which was amazing. You can check out some of them on myspace.

It also gives me a chance to catch up on movies :)

Here's what I've watched in the last couple days:
WILD COUNTRY directed by Craig Strachan
The Werewolf genre is my favorite. So I'm always a little nervous when a new one comes my way. I get really upset when people fuck it up! I'm happy to report WILD COUNTRY did not disappoint. In fact it was refreshing to see an independent film kick so much ass. The story was original and the actors all did very well. It also had some extremely well done FX moments.
THANK YOU CRAIG STRACHAN !

I'LL BURY YOU TOMORROW directed by Alan Rowe Kelly
It makes me sad I've gone all these years without seeing Kelly's debut film! I'LL BURY YOU TOMORROW is a true independent treasure that you should buy right after you read this blog. Kelly's films have balls. He takes full advantage of independent film making and doesn't shy away from "controversy". More of us should take a lesson from him!

THE STRANGERS directed by Bryan Bertino
I saw this one in theaters and it still freaks me the hell out! Normally movie's aren't as scary the second time around but this one pushes my buttons. I watched the "extended cut" and it didn't seem all that different. I mean the extra stuff was fine but its nothing that truly enhanced the film. I really don't see why they didn't just leave it in the first cut.

The RATLINE shoot went amazing last week. The FX team managed to get blood splatter on a 13 foot ceiling! Good times my Friends ... good times. The FX in this movie have been crazy .... gore fans will not be disappointed

I've been asked recently how I got my start ....
Well I've had an intense interest in movies from a young age but I never really thought making them was an option for me. I grew up in a very small town of about 1,500 people and ... well... you just don't have those kind of dreams there. I moved with my family to Saint Louis at the age of 16 and started dreaming a little bigger! When I turned 18, I started looking into moving out on the east coast. Then I found Wicked Pixel Cinema, a Saint Louis based film company.  I applied for an internship and got in. The first film I worked on was a little seen SciFi comedy called INBRED REDNECK ALIEN ABDUCTION. I got that gig because SAVAGE HARVEST 2 was on a break at the time and Pat Voss who was doing FX for SAVAGE was also directing REDNECK.  I quickly worked my way threw various editorial department jobs and started doing set dressing and B.T.S. documentaries. I had a small part in SAVAGE 2 but didn't give much thought to being in front of the camera until some DVD promo ads turned out well.

I'm now established on both sides of the camera and that means everything to me. It gets crazy sometimes ... especially when your called on to both produce and act - or - when you go half insane and do everything on a movie (like I did on the upcoming FIVE). But I wouldn't trade this life in for anything!

STAY DEAD !

Blood, Bitches, and Broomsticks

Well Hello SCARS fans!

For those of you who may not know me, I'm a model/actress under the name Nos. I've been in such cult classics as BIZARRE LUST OF A SEXUAL DEVIANT, SATAN'S CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST, THE SEVEREDHEAD NETWORK, and I SPIT ON YOUR CORPSE,I PISS ON YOUR GRAVE.

So in other words I make family films...

I've also had the pleasure of working with some of the top independent companies/magazine such as; FEMALEDICTIONS, SINCHED, SUGARKITTY CORSETS, BIZARRE, and LOLLIPOP.

I'm extremely lucky in that I can do what I truly love. More people should try doing what they love instead of doing what they hate. It's just good sense.

There are several projects coming up this year! It makes me so happy I could pee... well maybe not pee, unless your into that sort of thing.

The new WICKED PIXEL CINEMA project RATLINE (of which I am in) is in it's final stages of shooting... in fact as I type this people are getting thrown around in a basement and screaming. It's pretty fucking rad and I think I'm next! This shoot has been do much fun for me... funny how it also seems to be the hardest. I've been challenged so much as an actress and a producer but it feels good. It feels right.

Well mt fellow FIENDS that's all for tonight!
